Archipelago International Invites Its Guests to Witness The Upcoming Total Solar Eclipse

BLOGKATAHATIKU - Offering its guests prime viewing privileges of the upcoming solar eclipse, Archipelago International, Indonesia’s largest hotel management chain, is inviting guests to enjoy a number of stay packages to make the most of this solar phenomenon.
On March 9th 2016, several cities in Indonesia will enjoy ideal positioning to witness the total solar eclipse, whereby the moon will temporarily block out the sun completely. The cities that will be able to fully see the phenomenon are Palembang, Palangkaraya, Balikpapan, Palu, and Ternate. This extraordinary natural spectacle happens on average just once every 250 years at any given location on Earth.
Managing over 110 properties across Indonesia and Malaysia, Archipelago International is offering special packages to visitors who are eager to watch the eclipse in total comfort. Aston Palembang in South Sumatera is offering a one-night package from Rp 968.000 nett, available on 8-9 March 2016.
The package includes a stay in a Superior Room and breakfast for two. Whilst at favehotel Palembang, guests can enjoy a one-night stay and breakfast for two with rates starting from Rp 568.000 nett for a Standard Room. Here, the total solar eclipse will last for one minute 52 seconds from 6.20 am Jakarta time. On the Ampera Bridge over the Musi River, several food stalls will be set up along the bridge for a throng of observers during the event.
In Palangkaraya (Central Kalimantan), the solar total eclipse will last for two minutes and 29 seconds from 6.23 am Jakarta time. The central viewing point will take place at Bundaran Besar Palangkaraya with cultural performances and entertainment throughout. To accommodate the city's visitors, Hotel Neo Palma Palangkaraya, located across from Bundaran Besar Palangkaraya, will offer packages from Rp 1.000.000 nett including a one-night stay in a Standard Room as well as breakfast and dinner for two guests. The hotel will serve breakfast on the balcony so that guests can view the solar eclipse whilst dining.
At Aston Balikpapan, with its views overlooking the ocean, guests are invited to witness the eclipse poolside. The hotel will serve a special breakfast on the pool deck so that guests will not miss this rare phenomenon. The package starts from Rp 1.988.000 nett with benefits including two nights in a Superior Room, food and beverage vouchers, free member cards for Blitz Megaplex and a Fun Station voucher.
Guests choosing to witness the eclipse in Balikpapan can also join in on the beach festival being held on Manggar Beach. During the festival, the Balikpapan Tourism Agency will prepare a mass seafood barbecue along the beach’s coastline.
